Our Story
The Garden Kingdom in Glen Carbon was founded by Kenneth Noll, a University of Illinois-educated Landscape Architect and member of the American Association of Landscape Architects. Inspired by European castle architecture, Ken and his wife Michelle purchased a property featuring a historic grain silo, which they transformed into the iconic Garden Kingdom Rook, a 100-foot local landmark. Beyond his professional credentials, Ken is an active community member, co-founder of The NSD development group, and President of the United States Deaf Soccer Association. This personal dedication to community and detail is reflected in the full-service design-build company, which also houses a garden center and unique gift shop. The business has grown from a dream into a comprehensive resource for landscaping, lawn care, holiday decor, and snow removal, all driven by a commitment to creating personalized outdoor spaces for Glen Carbon residents.
