We then reset the stones securely, often using a compacted base and soil amendments to prevent future movement, and can integrate new, low-maintenance plantings that won't disrupt the structure. The ideal timing for tree pruning on Long Island depends on the tree species and your goals. For most shade trees, late winter to early spring (dormant season) is often best, as it promotes vigorous spring growth and allows us to see the branch structure clearly. However, we can perform safety pruning or remove dead/diseased limbs at any time of year.
