Questions and Answers
How does your landscape design service address common San Diego issues like patchy sprinklers and dead grass?
We tackle these issues at their root by designing efficient, drought-resilient systems. Instead of just repairing sprinklers, we often redesign irrigation zones for better coverage with low-water drip systems suited to native plants. For dead turf areas, we replace water-thirsty grass with beautiful, climate-appropriate California native and Mediterranean plants that thrive here with minimal water, eliminating the brown patches common with traditional lawns.
What does your garden maintenance service include, and do you offer regular weekly service?
Our maintenance focuses on sustaining the health and beauty of the ecological landscapes we design. This includes seasonal pruning (especially for fruit trees), checking and adjusting irrigation systems, weeding, and overall plant health care. We do not offer regular weekly mowing or leaf-blowing services. Instead, we provide scheduled, knowledgeable care that supports the long-term success of your low-water, native garden.
Can you help me add fruit trees and edible plants to my existing San Diego landscape?
Absolutely. Integrating productive plants is a core part of our permaculture design approach. We can assess your existing space for sun, soil, and water access to recommend suitable, relatively low-water fruit trees like citrus, figs, or pomegranates, as well as herbs and vegetables. We provide expert planting and follow-up with proper pruning and care guidance to ensure your edible plants thrive alongside your ornamental natives.
